The Montville Township Committee on June 9 awarded two public‑works construction contracts after competitive sealed bids.
For the 2026 Storm Sewer Infrastructure Repair and Reconstruction Project the township opened six bids and awarded the contract to the low, responsive bidder Portofino Builders LLC at $157,974.75. The Chief Financial Officer certified that funds were available in the Capital – Road Resurfacing/Roadway Improvement account and the committee authorized the mayor and clerk to execute the contract.
For the 2026 Condo Road Resurfacing Project the township opened eleven bids and awarded the contract to the low, responsive bidder D.L.S. Contracting, Inc. at $671,415.62. The minutes record the award, the CFO's certification of funds, and authorization for the mayor and clerk to execute the contract.
Both awards were adopted by roll call vote with all present members recorded as voting yes and Committeeman Chris Fano absent. The minutes include the bid tabulations and identify the statutory requirement that contracts be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder under N.J.S.A. §40A:11‑23.5.
The awards enable scheduled roadway and drainage repairs; the meeting record does not include a construction timeline or projected completion dates for either contract.
