City Clerk Shannon Geier told commissioners that staff needs more time to complete a thorough review of the county's regulations before the council considers formal adoption. The recommendation, made to align Harris regulations with the state's revised cannabis rules, does not itself change city code; it directs the City Council to consider adopting the county text or a similar update. No timetable for council consideration was specified in the meeting minutes.
