The Stanton Comm School District Board of Directors heard a construction project update at its Jan. 14, 2026 regular meeting and agreed to review submitted proposals in a small-group work session.
Superintendent David Gute told the board that Requests for Proposals for the district construction project have been sent. The board reached a consensus to examine responses in a small-group setting rather than during the full board's regular meeting, leaving contract awards or further commitments for a later date.
Gute also provided legislative updates to the board. No formal motion to award or contract for the construction project was recorded at the meeting; the discussion was an informational update and a procedural decision to handle review in a smaller forum.
The board reconvened and took routine business after the update; the meeting adjourned at 6:05 p.m. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Feb. 11, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in the STEM Room.
