Green Bay school board approves contractor award, after‑school providers and policy revisions

The Green Bay Area Public School District Board of Education approved a series of action items at its meeting, including contractor awards, provider selections for community-based after-school programs, a charter contract addendum, job description updates and revisions to Board Policy 522.6.

Without naming individual movers, the board approved the consent agenda and then approved awarding the general contractor bid for classroom renovations at Preble High School to IEI General Contractors for $324,000. The board also approved an addendum to the 2026–2031 charter contract with John Dewey Academy of Learning.

For community-based after-school services the board approved the Boys & Girls Club of Green Bay to provide 21st Century Community Learning Centers and Fund 80 after-school programming at Danz and Fort Howard Elementary Schools for a total of $263,154 for the 2026–27 school year. The board approved the YMCA of Green Bay to provide similar services at Baird, Beaumont, Eisenhower, Howe and Sullivan Elementary Schools for a total of $650,177 for 2026–27.

The board also approved presented job description updates and revisions to Board Policy 522.6 (Staff Student and Staff Minor Child Communication and Relations). Staff announced voting results after online voting: "All votes have been entered and the motion is carried with all board members voting in favor," an official said, and each action item was recorded as carried with all board members voting in favor.

The meeting concluded after a motion to adjourn; no contested roll-call tallies with individual member votes were read aloud during the meeting.
