Superintendent Michael Brown told the board the district’s kitchen dishwasher had reached the end of its useful life and presented quotes. The board approved the dishwasher quote from Meyer Laboratory by a 5-0 vote (motion: Director Megan Franks; second: Director Darynn Ruiz).
On the concession-stand project, Mr. Brown said he wanted to slow the bidding process to ensure the work is done correctly; the board tabled the concession-stand building bids pending additional review. Septic bids tied to the concession project were also tabled.
The board discussed a safety grant that would fund cameras and secure-access doors. Members asked staff to gather more information on service agreements and storage/servers before selecting a vendor; the board deferred final action on that bid until staff returns with those details.
During maintenance reports Mr. Salinas said staff have made substantial progress clearing job orders and are evaluating ground-maintenance plans for the football field. The board thanked Porky’s Construction for donating time and labor to build a rock parking lot at the football field.
The dishwasher purchase is approved; other facilities work will move forward only after staff returns with additional vendor and technical details.
