Board approves consent items, two salary increases and three board appointments
Summary
At its June 23 work session the board approved a consent calendar of purchases and grants, granted salary increases to the county attorney and county administrator, and made several board appointments, including a Colonial Behavioral Health Board appointment and two EDA reappointments.
The James City County Board of Supervisors approved its consent calendar, which included a $461,656 contract award for a replacement ambulance; a $33,762 Bulletproof Vest Partnership grant; an $8,520 Chesapeake Bay Restoration Fund grant; minutes adoption; and a $110,000 Housing and Urban Development housing-assistance budget amendment that had been added to the consent agenda.
Following a closed session, the board certified the closed-session topics and approved a 4% salary increase for County Attorney Adam Kinsman and a 5.5% salary increase for County Administrator Scott Stevens; both motions carried on roll call.
The board also appointed Cheryl Holland to the Colonial Behavioral Health Board for a term beginning July 1, 2026 (term to expire June 30, 2027) and reappointed William Turner and Rebecca Mulvane to four-year terms on the Economic Development Authority. The board set its next meeting for July 14 at 5 p.m. and adjourned.
