Mr. Dryen explained Virginia Code requires the board to annually approve its maximum salary before July 1; the board adopted a resolution to continue current maximums and noted any future change would require a public hearing.
Closed session and certification: The board voted to convene a closed session under Virginia Code §2.2‑3711(A)(1) to discuss a personnel matter involving specific officers or employees; after the closed session the board returned, took a certification vote and adjourned. Votes on these administrative items were unanimous among members present.
