The School Board of Independent School District 197 unanimously approved the Jan. 26, 2026 meeting agenda and a consent package that bundled personnel recommendations, several high‑school field trips and a county grant.
On a motion by Morgan Steele, seconded by Byron Schwab, the board approved the meeting agenda by a 7–0 vote. Later, Jon Vaupel moved and Randi Walz seconded approval of the consent agenda; the motion passed 7–0. The consent items included approval of the Jan. 12, 2026 regular meeting minutes; personnel recommendations; Totino‑Grace/ThunderRidge High School (TRHS) field trips in French, Music, Robotics, Spanish, Winterguard and Wrestling; approval of a Dakota County SHIP Grant; and an administrative review of Policy 514 (Bullying Prohibition).
The procedural votes recorded no dissent. The meeting closed following a motion to adjourn that passed 7–0, and the board noted that official minutes will be available at the district office and on the district website upon approval.
The board scheduled its next regular meeting for Feb. 9, 2026 at Mendota Heights Council Chambers; meeting times and locations may be adjusted on the district website.
