Chair reported the city reenergized its after‑school offering in partnership with the PCC center and the mayor’s youth council; police and fire participated in the launch. The Chair said the first day drew "over 40 some kids" to interact with first responders, calling the turnout "really good."
On the dog park, the Chair said the park has been overseeded and that staff will install fixtures once the grass takes. "We are looking at the Humane Society to get key fobs," Chair said, and the authority discussed an upcoming amendment to the fee schedule to allow purchase of those key fobs.
Staff and an agency official also reported on an unsafe building matter at 300 West Old Bridge Road. Agency official said the property owner, Mr. Cox, "has submitted all paperwork for public hearing for his one‑lot subdivision" and that, upon planning commission approval, he intends to remove the house; the authority voted to set the unsafe‑building item over to April 15 to await that process.
