David Draskovich, the district’s director of finance and operations, told the board the proposed FY2027 revenue package represents a net increase of about 8.5 percent from the most recent revised figures and that total expenditures for the year would rise by about 1.8 percent. He said year‑to‑date revenue recognition and expenditures are tracking in line with prior years and noted some year‑end journal entries and deferred revenue items that affect reported percentages.
District staff outlined the LTFM plan and the near‑term projects it would fund. Those highlighted included East Middle School carpet replacement, remediation of surface delamination in the West Middle School pool basin, and ventilation and dehumidification work at Pearson and West (projects identified to spend remaining 2020 bond funds and to qualify for bond‑backed work). Anne Seidman, the district’s facilities supervisor, joined staff to answer operational questions about scheduling and minimizing program disruptions during work.
Board members approved the budget and the LTFM and bond resolutions after staff said the combined actions allow the district to move forward with planned maintenance and to schedule public hearings on bonding (staff noted a public hearing on bonding is planned for July 27). The motions carried by the votes called at the meeting.
