Lismore approves street repairs, lease-to-own for tractor and several routine items

Maintenance lead Josh reported street patching was completed in a single day with help from council members and local volunteers; the council thanked those involved and scheduled fall clean-up for Sept. 23. Josh asked to repaint picnic tables and council agreed.
On equipment, council members discussed renting a pusher for the tractor and a used 2012 Kubota owned by Calvin Loosbrock. The council approved a lease-to-own arrangement to pay Loosbrock Digging $1,000 annually until paid in full; Amber Bertrand will prepare the contract. The council declined a $1,200 mower purchase offer from a vendor identified as Dave at Titan because of the mower's condition and opted to wait for a different offer.
The council also approved an insurance renewal presented by Barry Sauer and Matt Loosbrock and granted approval for a building permit for a storage shed for Chris Balster after the applicant signed the permit acknowledging responsibility for property-line disputes. Clerk Amber reported that Kayla expects to deliver deeds related to a land sale by the end of the week or early next week. For public safety, Amber relayed that the Fire Department's fundraiser brought in about $14,000 before expenses and that Nobles2 Wind Farms granted $5,000 toward a battery-operated Jaws of Life. The meeting adjourned with the next regular meeting set for Oct. 7 at 6:00 p.m.
