The council moved to appoint a mayor pro‑tem during organizational business; the motion carried with Mayor Al Dorn, Mark Bisch, Ryan Sanders and Laurinda Sohre voting in favor and Pat Burt recorded as abstaining.
Council approved Resolution 2026-01 establishing official city designations by unanimous roll call (Dorn, Burt, Bisch, Sanders, Sohre). The council also voted to accept a Fire Department recommendation and appoint Matt Lee as Fire Chief; that appointment was approved unanimously.
