The Hopkins City Council on April 21 unanimously adopted routine proclamations and approved its consent agenda, and also voted to release a request for proposals for the sale of 907 Mainstreet.
Procedural motions approved at the meeting included adoption of the agenda (motion by Council Member Hunke, second by Council Member Kuznia), a proclamation commemorating Arbor Day (motion by Hunke, second by Garrido), and a proclamation recognizing International Compost Awareness Week (motion by Hunke, second by Kuznia). The consent agenda was approved on a motion by Garrido, second by Hunke, and included: approval of the April 7, 2026 regular meeting minutes; a temporary liquor license for BPOE Lodge 2221 d/b/a Hopkins Elks Lodge; a use agreement between the City of Hopkins and Hopkins Farmers Market; a professional services agreement for a housing assessment and strategic funding plan; and a resolution approving state fund program terms and conditions for IIJA discretionary grant assistance. The consent vote was unanimous.
On new business, the council voted to approve release of a Request for Proposals for the sale of 907 Mainstreet (motion by Kuznia, second by Hunke); the motion carried unanimously. The transcript records these votes and motions as formal actions in the meeting minutes.
