Votes at a glance: Lindstrom council approves consultant studies, engineering work and TIF assignment

The Lindstrom City Council recorded several formal actions at its August meeting:

• City building reuse study (Leo A. Daly): Council approved the $9,850 consultant proposal (plus roughly $100 reimbursables) to evaluate reuse of the city building as a police facility; funding will come from Fund 452.

• Building height amendment: A council motion to codify a strict 35‑foot limit from any side failed on a 2‑2 tie; the item was tabled and staff were directed to draft clarified ordinance language for a future meeting.

• Consent agenda and minutes: The consent agenda, including routine minutes and vendor items, was approved by voice vote.

How the votes were recorded: Several items passed unanimously; the building height motion failed on a tied roll call and the council then voted to table the measure and seek staff drafting.
