Board expands Silver Springs GID sewer service area to include Boys and Girls Club property

Lyon County commissioners voted June 4 to approve a petition by the Boys and Girls Club of Mason Valley, Inc. to expand the Silver Springs General Improvement District (GID) sewer service area to include APN 018-481-08 and authorized the Board Chair to sign the incorporation order.
Utilities Director Sean Sinclair told the Board the property borders the existing sewer service area and there is a sewer main nearby; he recommended approval to allow connection. No public comment was offered on the petition.
Commissioner Tammy Hendrix moved to approve the petition; Commissioner John Cassinelli seconded and the motion passed 5-0. The action will allow the Boys and Girls Club property to connect to the district sewer system subject to the order the Chair is authorized to sign.
