Lyon County commissioners voted June 4 to accept the Nevada Public Agency Insurance Pool (POOL) renewal proposal for 2026–2027 and to authorize payment from fiscal year 2026–2027 funds.
Kayla Frost of A&H Insurance and Alan Kalt of POOL/PACT presented changes to county coverages and an overview of POOL member services and program structure for 2026–2027. Kalt presented Clerk-Treasurer Staci Lindberg with a "Sweep Award" recognizing the county’s investment strategy and compliance with sweep-account statutes; Comptroller Josh Foli and POOL representatives answered commissioners’ questions about coverage details.
Commissioner Robert Jacobson moved to accept the renewal proposal; Commissioner Tammy Hendrix seconded. The motion passed 5-0.
