Councilor Reuter moved to approve the PERA 2024 SVF report and Councilor Benson seconded. A roll-call vote recorded Councilor Johnson, Councilor Reuter, Councilor Benson and Mayor Ward voting yes and Councilor De Waal voting no; the motion passed.
The council directed that budgetary implications be considered in upcoming budget discussions but did not change the report text at the meeting.
The decision is procedural: the council accepted the state-compiled report and asked staff to consider how the city's liability and contributions are represented in future budget materials.
