Town marshal announces two police resignations; council authorizes $1,505 repair for fire engine light tower

Town Marshall Guy Cobb told the council on Nov. 5 that Deputy Andrew Williams had resigned his full‑time position but would remain with the department on a part‑time basis, and that Police Reserve Deputy Richard Schwalm had also resigned.
Separately, Council President Betty Riley moved and Shelly Kimmerling seconded a motion authorizing the Fire Chief to purchase the parts required to repair the light tower on a fire engine for approximately $1,505. The council approved the purchase unanimously.
The personnel changes were announced for the record; no personnel motions or replacement actions were recorded in the minutes at this meeting.
