Owosso Planning Commission adopts 2026–2032 CIP, grants 900 Ada site-plan extension

The commission approved the 2026–2032 Capital Improvement Plan and unanimously granted a one-year extension for the 900 Ada Street site plan; the 1000 Bradley site plan will return for further review May 26.
At its April 27 meeting the Owosso Planning Commission approved the city’s 2026–2032 Capital Improvement Plan and referred it to City Council for review and approval. Commissioner Osika moved to adopt the CIP and Secretary Janae Fear seconded; the motion passed with all members present voting yes.
The commission also granted a one-year site plan extension for the 900 Ada Street project to April 27, 2027, after the architect explained the project had not begun within the ordinance’s one-year period. Commissioner Taylor moved to approve the extension and Commissioner Albertson seconded; the vote was unanimous.
Separately, the commission noted that the 1000 Bradley site plan remains pending; owners must resubmit plans to meet the site plan checklist and the commission will review the revised submission at its May 26 meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m.; the next Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for May 26, 2026.
