Jackson County commissioners approve contracts, lease and appointments; set hearing on Eagle Point UGB expansion

Parks lease: The board approved Order No. 133-26 authorizing a lease with the United States, by and through the Secretary of the Army, for operations at Joseph Stewart Park on Lost Creek Reservoir; staff said the new lease is for 25 years and follows an earlier agreement that expired December 31, 2025.
Procurement: The board awarded a Jackson County Public Improvement Contract to LTM Inc., dba Knife River Materials, for resurfacing portions of Avenue G in White City after receiving a single qualifying bid; final project completion was set on or before October 16, 2026 (Order No. 134-26).
Land‑use schedule: The board held a first reading of Ordinance No. 2026-3, which would add approximately 85.9 acres to the City of Eagle Point’s urban growth boundary under Oregon Senate Bill 1537 (2024), and scheduled a second reading and public hearing for June 17, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. If adopted on June 17, the ordinance would become effective on August 17, 2026.
