Jaffrey Select Board approves consent agenda, seasonal Farmers Market and Concerts on the Common

The Jaffrey Select Board on May 13 approved its consent agenda and two seasonal event resolutions at a meeting held at Jaffrey Town Hall.
On a motion by Selectman Andrew Lawn, seconded by Selectman Franklin W. Sterling Jr., the board approved the public minutes of April 22, 2026 (vote 3-0). The board then reviewed and approved the consent agenda as presented, which included payroll and vendor manifests; abatements (including #2026-22 Kim Lee Smith $65.78 water; #2026-23 Bruce Coll $1,637.81 water; #2026-24 Debra Flanders $344.89 taxes; #2026-25 Jeanne Hushaw $189.50 taxes; #2026-26 Owen & Norma Houghton Rev. Trust $1,677.08 taxes); exemptions and tax credits (including an All Veteran tax credit and a solar exemption for Darren & Bernadette Dwees); a yield tax levy for SPNHF totaling $7,287.28; the Tax Collector’s 4th-cycle 2026 water and sewer commitment warrants (Water $167,808.13; Sewer $209,554.90); the Tax Collector’s 5th-cycle 2026 septic hauler commitment ($13,065.20); meetinghouse requests and a raffle request for Shelter from the Storm’s Taste of Monadnock on July 19, 2026.
The board considered two event resolutions submitted by the Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce and approved both on motions by Lawn, seconded by Sterling (3-0). Resolution #2026-15 authorizes the Farmers Market from May 29 through Sept. 25, 2026. Resolution #2026-16 approves the Concerts on the Common series from July 1 through Aug. 19, 2026.
The board also approved and signed a letter of support for the Southwestern Regional Planning Commission’s Safe Streets for All grant application, which would fund projects identified in road audits on Milliken Road and Old Sharon Road. That motion passed 3-0.
All formal motions recorded in the minutes were unanimous (3-0).
