Council approves $15,000 amendment to Chamber agreement for July 4 parade security

The Enumclaw City Council on June 22 approved Resolution No. 1881, authorizing the mayor to execute an amendment to the service agreement with the Enumclaw Chamber of Commerce to provide additional funding for July 4 parade security.
Parks Director Lina Hicks summarized the proposed breakdown of the $15,000 previously authorized by council: $8,500 for parade-route barriers, $2,500 to cover overtime for six additional city staff, and $4,000 allocated to the Chamber to hire security and event staffing. Hicks said the funds had already been authorized by council previously and the resolution merely allocates how the money will be spent.
Council moved to approve Resolution No. 1881 and the mayor declared the resolution passed by voice vote.
