The Lakefield City Council on May 4 reviewed a list of damages from the city’s LMC claims adjuster and approved moving forward with repairs at multiple municipal properties. The approved work covers 13 locations and includes a full shingle roof replacement at the library; replacement of shingle roofs at the park shelter, bath house/concession and mechanical building; replacement of gutters and vents at the fire hall; combing out or repair of several air-conditioning condensers; reset of fascia at City Hall; and repairs to pump-house roll roofing.
City Clerk Holly Rademacher summarized adjuster notes and explained a 30% copay applies to metal-roof claims; Pavelko recommended prioritizing replacement of shingled roofs, gutters and A/C units at several sites. The council moved to approve the list of repairs as presented, and the motion carried.
Council did not detail contractor selections at the meeting; the claims adjuster will determine bid pathways and next steps for procurement and repairs. The decisions were made by motion with unanimous voice votes.
