Hobart sanitary board hears lift‑station report; city recognized with ACEC award

President Bob Fulton called the meeting to order and the board reviewed the April lift‑station report. The Main Lift Station recorded 149,090,000 gallons pumped to the Gary Sanitary District in April, an increase of 748,000 gallons from March, with an average daily flow of 4.969 million gallons per day. The White Oak Conservancy District reported 3,122,100 gallons for April, a 30‑day average of 104,070 gallons per day. Precipitation at the Main Lift Station measured 4.95 inches for April, above the 10‑year April average of 4.25 inches; the year‑to‑date precipitation total is 12.21 inches.
Jake Dammarell of engineering firm BF&S congratulated the City of Hobart after the Main Lift Station Force Main project earned an ACEC award in statewide competition and thanked the city for including BF&S on the project team. The City Engineer provided no additional report and the board took no action on operational items.
The lift‑station data will inform ongoing system monitoring and capital planning; no follow‑up votes or directions were recorded on the operational report during the meeting.
