Lilydale to contract with Campbell Knutson for prosecution services after prior firm withdraws

City Administrator Mary Tollefson told the Lilydale City Council on Nov. 12 that law firm Grannis & Hauge notified the city it would discontinue prosecution services effective Nov. 10, 2024. The city solicited proposals from three firms and received proposals from Campbell Knutson and Kelly & Lemmons.
Tollefson reported that Conor Tobin, the city’s prosecuting attorney, is now at Campbell Knutson. The council accepted Grannis & Hauge’s termination of services and authorized the city to enter into an agreement with Campbell Knutson according to the proposal’s rate structure; the motion carried unanimously.
The contract authorization ensures continuity of prosecution services under the Campbell Knutson proposal and retains Conor Tobin as prosecuting counsel through his new firm. The council recorded no dissent during the vote.
