The Winter Harbor Selectmen approved routine finance and administrative items at their Sept. 8 meeting and recorded a public meeting for the marina and a public comment about increased visitation at Schoodic Point.
The meeting record shows the minutes of Aug. 25, 2025 were approved 2-0. Warrants #10 (Sept. 2) and #11 (Sept. 5) were approved (recorded as 3-0). The Treasurer’s Report dated Sept. 5, 2025 and the Tax Collector’s Report dated Sept. 5, 2025 were each approved 3-0. The minutes list payroll #10 at $16,241.07 and accounts payable #11 at $145,542.19, for a total of $161,783.26.
A public meeting on the marina was scheduled (agenda item noted as a public meeting; the minutes do not specify the meeting date). During public comment P. Barto said Acadia National Park provided data showing a 16.6% increase in visitors to Schoodic Point this year. S. Fortin asked for a copy of documents provided by the bank during the investment presentation. The minutes list FYI items including the Schoodic EMS Report, the investment statement and thank-you letters.
The Selectmen adjourned the regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. and entered executive session at 7:03 p.m. to discuss personnel matters under 1 M.R.S.A. § 405(6)(A); they returned at 7:22 p.m.
