At their Aug. 11 meeting, the Winter Harbor Selectmen voted to authorize repairs to the town’s floats and a dock after members reported damage and inadequate flotation. The motion to have M. Young repair the floats, fix the dock and add two ladders passed 3-0.
Town Manager Sara J. Liscomb told the board the floats need additional flotation to hold required weight; she said the town will order flotation and that a company named DC Air will pick up the material. The minutes state that "Chris" will remove the floats and return them to his property so they can be repaired and that M. Young will perform the repair work.
No dollar amounts or contract terms were recorded in the minutes. The motion carried with an approval recorded as 3-0; the minutes do not identify who made or seconded the motion.
The board took no other formal actions related to marina infrastructure at the meeting.
