Boscawen Select Board dissolves Building Task Force, authorizes review of sealed minutes and seals several older nonpublic minutes

At its June 17 meeting the Boscawen Select Board moved several administrative items: Town Administrator Katie Phelps updated the board on the Commercial Street cleanup (estimated start July 6, Brownfields Advisory Committee meeting June 29, UConn student site visit July 2). Phelps recommended dissolving the Building Task Force because town staff had assumed most project responsibilities; Selectwoman Lorrie Carey moved to dissolve the task force, Chairman Matt Burdick seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Phelps also asked the board to authorize her to review prior sealed nonpublic minutes and to unseal those no longer applicable, with any questionable minutes returned to the board for decision. Chairman Burdick moved and Selectman Joshua Crawford seconded the authorization; the motion carried.
The board entered nonpublic session under RSA 91-A:3 II (m) at 7:19 p.m. by roll-call vote (Matt Burdick, Lorrie Carey, Joshua Crawford all voted yes) and exited at 7:27 p.m. After the nonpublic session the board made several motions to seal minutes from 5/21/2020, 1/9/2020, 2/20/2020 and 1/6/2020 under RSA 91-A:3 III, each motion passing on roll-call votes recorded as yes by Matt Burdick, Lorrie Carey and Joshua Crawford. The board scheduled its next meeting for July 1, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. and adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
