The Roseau City Council authorized a purchase agreement on May 4 for Lot 3, Block One, Oak Crest Estates First Addition, selling the lot to Deepak Padaliya for $12,000 with $500 earnest money and a closing date of July 15, 2026.
City Attorney Michelle Moren presented the agreement and noted the property carries special assessments of $21,500. The council approved the purchase agreement by unanimous vote and authorized the mayor and clerk to sign. The assessments will be payable over 20 years at an interest rate of 3 percent as recorded in the agreement.
Next steps: The sale will proceed to closing on July 15, 2026, subject to the terms outlined in the agreement and collection of earnest money.
