Roseau council approves resolution to apply for BDPI match for industrial park expansion

The Roseau City Council on May 4 adopted Resolution #26-26 authorizing the city to act as legal sponsor for a Business Development Infrastructure (BDPI) application and to seek state matching funds that could support an application to the U.S. Economic Development Administration to expand the Roseau Industrial Park.

Council discussion noted the EDA program could potentially fund up to 80% of infrastructure costs and that Minnesota BDPI could provide a portion of the local match (historically up to 50% in some programs), but the transcript states BDPI funding availability and the city match amount are to be determined from a Houston Engineering preliminary report expected in mid-May.
