Kent County Insurance Authority elects officers and unanimously approves December minutes

At its Jan. 28 meeting the Kent County Insurance Authority approved its Dec. 3, 2025 minutes and voted to install a new slate of officers: Ben Greene, Chair; Lindsey Thiel, Vice Chair; Al Vanderberg, Treasurer; and Peter MacGregor, Secretary.
The Kent County Insurance Authority voted to approve its Dec. 3, 2025 meeting minutes and elected a slate of officers at a brief meeting on Jan. 28, 2026. Peter MacGregor moved to approve the prior meeting minutes; Melissa LaGrand seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Jeff Dood nominated the following slate of officers for 2026: Ben Greene as chair, Lindsey Thiel as vice chair, Al Vanderberg as treasurer and Peter MacGregor as secretary. Al Vanderberg seconded the nomination and the board approved the slate by voice vote. Melissa LaGrand then moved to close nominations and formally approve the slate; Jeff Dood seconded and that motion also passed by voice vote.
The actions were procedural and taken without recorded roll-call tallies in the transcript. The meeting record lists Dennis Mosson as absent. The board adjourned at 8:57 a.m.
The appointments take effect immediately and will govern the Authority's leadership while it continues work on claims and its review of the MMRMA contract.
