The Starmont Community School District Board approved a series of personnel and contract items during a brief special teleconference meeting Friday, May 23, 2025.
Board President Julie Uhlenkamp said the meeting would be held electronically and called roll; members present were Julie Uhlenkamp, Doug Puffett, Jacob Moellers and Vicki Althoff, with Tony Recker absent. The board met in the superintendent’s office at Starmont High School and cited Section 21.8.2024 of the Code of Iowa for conducting the meeting by electronic means.
In a sequence of unanimous votes, the board approved the meeting agenda, authorized fall, winter and spring extra‑curricular contracts for the 2025‑26 school year, accepted the agreement with the Starmont Classified Association, and approved support‑staff letters of assignment along with bus driver contracts. All motions were made and seconded from board members during the teleconference and carried by a 4‑0 vote.
The meeting was moved to adjourn by Doug Puffett, seconded by Jacob Moellers, and the board adjourned at 7:33 AM. The minutes are signed by Julie Uhlenkamp, board president, and Katie Taylor, business manager and board secretary.
