Millerville supervisors finalize $203,249 budget, approve drainage plan for Korkowski Mile Road

The board approved routine business early in the session. Supervisor Mike Bramwell moved, and Supervisor Ken Kuhn seconded, approval of the July 10, 2024 minutes; the motion carried. Supervisors then approved the treasurer’s report (motion by Ken Kuhn, second by Mike Bramwell) and authorized rolling over a $75,000 certificate of deposit for three months (motion by Mike Bramwell, second by Ken Kuhn). The board also approved payment of outstanding bills and ratified a bill already paid (motion by Doug Schaffer, second by Ken Kuhn).
The meeting’s principal fiscal action was adoption of the 2024–2025 budget. The supervisors set and finalized the budget with total revenue of $62,365 and line items including Road & Bridge at $118,136, Fire at $18,833 and a Road Project Fund at $3,915. The total certified levy for the year was reported as $203,249. The budget adoption was approved by motion (Doug Schaffer moved, Ken Kuhn seconded) and the motion carried.
Supervisors discussed equipment needs, including the possible purchase of a new ditch mower; the transcript records discussion only and no purchase authorization was recorded.
The board recounted a site review with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to evaluate proposed drainage improvements at Korkowski Mile Road. Following that review, Supervisor Doug Schaffer moved and Supervisor Ken Kuhn seconded a motion to approve the proposed drainage plan; the motion carried. The minutes state the plan is expected to benefit Korkowski Mile Road.
The meeting concluded with a motion by Supervisor Mike Bramwell, seconded by Supervisor Ken Kuhn, to adjourn at 5:12 p.m.; the motion carried.
