The Wellesley Council on Aging Board voted May 21 to advance a slate of three candidates to the Selectboard for appointment to the Council on Aging board. The nominations—Corinne Monahan, Anne Rader and Renee Spencer—were recommended after interviews conducted by the board's nominating committee and will be presented to the Selectboard on June 2, 2026.
Chair Judy Gertler told members the committee met and interviewed applicants for the open positions and that one applicant did not respond for an interview. Pat Decker moved to move forward with the slate; Barbara Searle seconded the motion and the board voted 7-0 to advance the three candidates.
The nominations restore the board's membership after recent absences and will be subject to the Selectboard's confirmation process. The agenda item was discussed alongside other housekeeping business, including a plan to add the pending art policy to the June agenda and a reminder that Peter Grape will provide an update at the next meeting.
The board adjourned at 5:00 p.m.; the next regular meeting is scheduled for June 18, 2026.
