Oak Park Heights council approves Stantec contract for Well 3 construction services

Oak Park Heights’ City Council voted unanimously Feb. 11 to approve a construction services agreement with Stantec Consulting Services Inc. for the Well 3 and pump house project, authorizing an amount not to exceed $160,000.
City Administrator Jacob R told the council the contract covers inspection, contract review, surveys and miscellaneous construction oversight as the city prepares to begin well drilling, which staff anticipate starting in late May or early June. He said the project includes both a well-port component and a pump house and that construction is expected to continue through the summer of 2026.
Council members moved and seconded the motion for approval; the vote carried by voice vote with all members present in favor. Jacob said city staff and the city engineer will support ongoing oversight during the project. The agreement sets a not-to-exceed cap of $160,000 for Stantec’s services; the contract duration follows the multi-phase schedule described to the council.
The council did not identify any amendments or conditions tied to the approval. The matter was recorded under old business and the council moved on to other agenda items following the vote.
