Council approves spending from ordinance budget to begin recodification and online hosting of city ordinances

"If we're going to do it ... it probably makes more sense to go the whole thing and get it all crisp and clean and done the right way," the Administrator said.
A council member moved to proceed with the recodification proposal using $1,800 from the ordinance budget; the motion was seconded and approved on a unanimous voice vote.
Next steps: staff will execute the vendor agreement according to the recodification payment schedule (10% down, 60% on draft, remainder on completion) and return to council with timeline updates.
