Chair Sarah Brydon presented proposed minor updates to policy CBIR (evaluation of the superintendent) that add a component allowing direct reports of the superintendent to provide written feedback to be aggregated with board members’ evaluations and the superintendent’s self-evaluation. "This version of the CBIR includes an additional component of giving the direct reports of the Superintendent staff-wise the opportunity to also provide some written evaluative material as well for inclusion in that aggregate," Brydon said.
Board Member Ackerman asked whether direct reports would use the same evaluation template as board members and emphasized the need for a format that would yield comprehensive, useful feedback. Committee members discussed whether the direct-report input should use the board template or a different, higher-level format and noted the item is informational for tomorrow’s business meeting rather than a voting item tonight.
