The Villisca Community School District board elected Jason Poston as board president and Richard Mullen as vice president during its organizational meeting on Nov. 14, 2024. President Pro Tem Jessie Forsythe administered the oath of office to Poston and Mullen after the regular session adjourned at 7:11 p.m.
The regular session had been called to order earlier that evening by President Tom Williams; directors Williams, Mullen, Shipley and Poston were present along with Superintendent Fenster, principals and the board secretary. The board approved routine agenda and consent items before moving to the organizational meeting.
The election formalized leadership for the 2024–2025 school year. No contested nominations or recorded dissent were shown in the minutes. The organizational meeting adjourned at 8:18 p.m., and the minutes were signed by Secretary Jessie Forsythe and President Jason Poston.
