Patty Herman, 1548 Cou Falls, told the Swisher City Council at its Aug. 12 meeting that the concession stand, fence and pavilion roof at Castek Park need repairs and general maintenance. The council responded by agreeing to arrange a joint meeting with the Park & Recreation Board to discuss the items Herman raised.
Herman listed several park needs and asked the council to prioritize maintenance and improvements. Council members did not adopt an immediate capital project at the meeting; instead they instructed staff to coordinate with the Park & Recreation Board and report back with recommended next steps.
The council’s decision to pursue a joint meeting creates a next step for prioritizing work at Castek Park; no specific funding or timeline for the repairs was approved at the Aug. 12 meeting.
