Millerville Township approves $8,000 ditch mower purchase, will review Bush Hog bids Oct. 10

Millerville Township supervisors approved a series of routine actions at their Sept. 12 meeting and voted to buy a New Holland ditch mower for $8,000.
The meeting, held at the Millerville Firehall, was called to order at 3:01 PM by Doug Schaffer (Chair). Attendees listed in the minutes were Doug Schaffer, Ken Kuhn, Mike Bramwell, Laura Piehl and the Clerk.
The board voted to approve the minutes of the Aug. 8, 2024 meeting after a motion by Mike Bramwell and a second from Ken Kuhn. Doug Schaffer moved, and Ken Kuhn seconded, approval of the treasurer's report; that motion carried. The board also authorized payment of outstanding bills and ratified previously paid bills on a motion by Doug Schaffer, seconded by Mike Bramwell; the motion carried.
On equipment, Mike Bramwell moved and Ken Kuhn seconded a motion to purchase a New Holland ditch mower from JB Tractor for $8,000. The motion carried and the board approved the purchase. The township announced that bids for a 6-foot Bush Hog mower will be reviewed at the board's Oct. 10, 2024 meeting; Millerville Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and asked interested vendors to contact the supervisors.
The final formal action was a motion by Ken Kuhn, seconded by Mike Bramwell, to adjourn the meeting at 4:37 PM; the motion carried.
The minutes reflect routine procedural approvals and one equipment purchase; no controversial or contested items were recorded.
