Council Member Dave Ramsey introduced and moved adoption of Resolution No. 1414-24, authorizing the city to execute and deliver a warranty deed conveying Lots 4, 5 and 6, Block 6, in the City of Templeton to Nexgen Ag Supply Inc. The resolution states the sale price as $50,000, notes prior public notice and that no objections were filed; the motion was seconded by Council Member Tasha Goecke and passed on a roll-call vote with all present voting yes.
Council Member Mark Bauer then introduced Resolution No. 1415-24 to execute and deliver a warranty deed conveying Lot C, North Ridge Addition, to Curtis and Crystal Behrens for $15,000. Joe Irlbeck seconded the motion; the council voted unanimously to adopt the resolution. Both resolutions authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the deeds and to deliver the warranty deeds upon receipt of payment.
The resolution texts entered into the record reference earlier public notices tied to the proposed sales: for Resolution 1414-24 the notice as printed in the Carroll Daily Times Herald and an earlier hearing date are noted; Resolution 1415-24 cites prior proceedings from 2015. The council recorded the formal roll-call approvals at the Oct. 7 meeting and Mayor Ken F. Behrens declared each resolution duly passed and adopted. The City Clerk, Nicci Kathol, is authorized to sign and attest the conveyance documents.
What happens next: the deeds will be executed by the mayor and city clerk and delivered upon payment per the terms of the adopted resolutions.
