Park board approves exploring a Memorial Park plaque and opens fundraising options

The motion to proceed passed in a voice vote; the board asked staff to develop an application process, draft eligibility guidelines and provide possible design mockups so families can be surveyed about interest and preferred formats. The board also discussed locating a staged memorial near a proposed bandstand and integrating bricks or benches to allow family purchase options.
