Loretto council approves consent agenda, two grant applications and bills totaling $103,487.78

At its Feb. 10 meeting, the Loretto City Council unanimously approved the consent agenda (including Resolution 2026-06), accepted bills totaling $103,487.78, approved Resolution 2026-07 to pursue an LCCMR water-treatment pilot study grant and authorized submission of a Hennepin County Healthy Tree Canopy grant application.
The Loretto City Council voted unanimously Feb. 10 to approve its consent agenda and several grant-related actions that advance local projects and routine city business.
On a motion by Council Member Brenda Daniels, seconded by Ben Scanlon, the council approved the consent agenda, which included Resolution 2026-06 approving participation in HCHRA activities, the Jan. 13 council minutes, and February bills (electronic checks 5439E–5471E and paper checks 26650–26684) totaling $103,487.78. The motion carried unanimously, with Mayor Kent Koch and Council Members Brenda Daniels, Jeff Leuer, Melissa Markham and Ben Scanlon recorded as present and voting yes.
The council then approved Resolution 2026-07, which authorizes submission of a Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund (LCCMR) proposal for a water treatment pilot study. The resolution passed on a motion by Council Member Melissa Markham, seconded by Brenda Daniels, and carried unanimously.
Council also approved the proposed plan and budget to apply for the Hennepin County Healthy Tree Canopy Grant and authorized City Clerk Treasurer Mary Schneider to submit the application. That motion was made by Ben Scanlon, seconded by Melissa Markham, and carried unanimously.
During the meeting Schneider also reported that the Hennepin Youth Activities Grant agreement has been fully executed, clearing the city to purchase the utility vehicle identified in the grant.
The meeting record shows no dissent on these items; all motions noted in the minutes passed by unanimous vote. The council adjourned at 8:29 p.m.
