The New Germany City Council on Sept. 3 approved six special-event permits allowing Fat Boyz to play amplified music on the patio and approved a fireworks permit for a Relief Association fundraiser set for Sept. 28 at Lindstrom Park. Thomas Mielke moved to approve the Fat Boyz permits and Paul Roepke seconded; the motion carried 4-0. The fireworks permit was approved by the same 4-0 vote.
Council did not record extended debate on either item; motions and roll-call votes were taken and recorded. Kevin Grove was absent for the votes. The approvals allow the events to proceed under the terms of the special-event permits and city code requirements for such activities.
The council’s action completes the permitting step for both events; any required permit conditions, fees or site restrictions will be enforced by city staff as part of permit administration.
