Tri-Center administrators report student programs, concerts and Veterans Day activities

During reports at the Nov. 11 Tri-Center Board meeting, district leaders highlighted classroom and extracurricular activities ahead of the holiday season.
Superintendent Dr. Angela Huseman and elementary Principal Jami Bertelsen reported distribution of the “Just Like Caitlin” books to all second-graders and noted the district is observing World Kindness Week. The administrators also reported that elementary parent–teacher conferences achieved 99% attendance.
Student Council hosted visiting veterans — named in the minutes as Dustan Huber, James Handy, Dean Olsen and Joe Roberts — and the secondary Veterans Day program included Dustan Huber as the speaker that day.
Activities Director Cassie Harris and Principal Chad Harder discussed extracurricular updates: girls wrestling has begun (five junior-high and four high-school participants), and staff are coordinating logistics for a Dec. 9 third–fifth grade winter concert and a Dec. 12 middle/high school concert; administrators noted larger class sizes are complicating planning for the MS/HS performance.
Curriculum Director Michelle Baatz provided SIAC updates and noted WIC instructional coaches will meet at Tri-Center soon. The district also reviewed Food Service Policy during the reports section.
