The Tri-Center Community School District Board of Education voted 5-0 on Feb. 10 to levy property tax for fiscal year 2025-26 under Section 257.14 of the Code of Iowa. Board Member Katie Ausdemore introduced the resolution and Mike Olsen seconded the motion; the board recorded the measure as approved unanimously.
The resolution, described by Ausdemore as a levy "for the regular program district budget adjustment as allowed under Section 257.14 Code of Iowa," was presented and moved to a vote during the New Business portion of the meeting. No dollar amount or tax-rate change was included in the meeting record; the board confined its action at this session to adopting the statutory levy authorization.
Superintendent Angela Huseman and Business Manager Jennifer Harder are listed on the meeting record as district staff in attendance and would handle any subsequent administrative steps required to implement the levy. The board set its next meeting for March 10, 2025, where follow-up budget or levy details could be placed on a future agenda.
The motion was recorded as carried 5-0.
