During the Sept. 11 Tri-Center board meeting administrators provided routine updates on student programs, curriculum and operations.
The board heard a campus-wide review of Capturing Kids' Hearts and a report on Elementary Student Council activities, including Popsicles on the Playgrounds, Friday Cleanup and an Alzheimer fundraiser planned for the football game. Principals outlined upcoming field trips for preschool through fourth grade with dates in September and October.
Administrators announced a Farm Safety event this Friday, and Fire Safety events scheduled Oct. 10–11 with Minden and Neola fire departments. The board also heard about a new absence policy and Tri-Center procedures being implemented, and about curriculum work in secondary math and in math and literacy across the district.
Board minutes additionally record that the football bleacher project is nearly complete and that a bowling update was provided; the minutes do not include cost or timeline details for facilities work.
