The Board of Selectmen announced several administrative updates at the June 9 meeting.
Selectman Daniel Staples told the board it had chosen Richard Provonchee to serve as the new webmaster for the Town of Cushing website; the minutes record the appointment as an announcement rather than a formal motion. Staples also noted that, beginning July 1, Cushing will serve as the administrative town for clam management for the next three years; he said there are personnel items still to finalize and planned to meet with Selectman Robert Worthing, the personnel liaison, to resolve them.
Chairman Alton Grover reported that Joe Carr is unable to continue as addressing officer. Selectman Laurie Haynes said she would contact Judy to check on Carr and to arrange a meeting to review addressing procedures and rules. The board did not make a formal appointment at this meeting.
