Residents raise driveway and elevation concerns at Smokey Timbers Road assessment hearing

Multiple residents raised concerns that the new road elevation and paving made driveway approaches steeper and increased drop-offs at the edge of the surfaced road. Engineer Jeff Stabnow, PE, responded to questions about those elevations and the edge detail, describing the project's paving and drainage treatments and answering specific points about surface transition to private driveways.
Board members Andy Anderson and Matt Kugler agreed to meet with concerned property owners the following day to inspect the reported problems and review potential on-site corrections. Several assessments were reported paid in full at the hearing; the clerk said the hearing adjourned after questions and payment handling.
