Millerville meeting raises town insurance deductible, trims equipment coverage

Doug Schaffer, Chair, called the Millerville regular meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. on Nov. 14, 2024, at the Firehall and led the pledge of allegiance.
The council approved the minutes of the Oct. 10, 2024 meeting after a motion from Mike Bramwell and a second from Ken Kuhn; the motion carried. Members then approved the treasurer’s report on a motion by Ken Kuhn, seconded by Doug Schaffer; that motion also carried. The meeting record lists those in attendance as Doug Schaffer, Ken Kuhn, Mike Bramwell, Laura Piehl and the Clerk.
During routine business, the board voted to change the town insurance deductible to $2,500. The motion was made by Doug Schaffer and seconded by Mike Bramwell; the motion carried. The town also voted to lower the insurance coverage on the bush hog to $1,500. That motion was made by Doug Schaffer, seconded by Ken Kuhn, and carried.
Ken Kuhn moved to adjourn the meeting at 4:35 p.m.; Doug Schaffer seconded and the motion carried. The minutes list no further substantive discussion or formal actions beyond those motions and approvals.
